Details & Itinerary
The Apsara dance is performed by women in traditional costumes that are based on the bas-relief of apsaras that can be found on nearby temple ruins. Through their graceful movements and fluid hand gestures, the dancers tell stories ranging from classical myths to religious legends. Apsara dance holds deep meaning in Cambodian culture, representing spirituality, femininity, and the bond between humans and the divine.
Apsara are an important part of Cambodian culture and are featured prominently in many aspects of traditional Cambodian art, including dance, music, and sculpture. They are often depicted in Khmer temples and are considered to be symbols of beauty and cultural pride.
